This is a seminary course of very high importance. It is of the utmost importance that every Christian be grounded in God’s Word in order to effectively live the Christian life. It is therefore essential that the Christian have a foundational knowledge of the entire New Testament. The purpose of this course is to give the student a foundational overview of the intertestament period and the New Testament. Each book of these will be studied individually.

The course covers major areas of study for each book. First, the historical background and second, an overview of the content of each book will be studied. The purpose and unique characteristics of each book will be treated. The course is in two parts. Part 1 includes the intertestament period, the four Gospels, and the Book of Acts. Part 2 includes New Testament epistles and the Book of Revelation. The lectures below were recorded during a live class at Chafer Theological Seminary in the Fall of 2015 (Part 1) and in the Fall of 2016 (Part 2).  In the new Chafer Seminary curriculum, this course is no longer offered in this format.
